vDOT characteristics
- Min. staking = 0.5 DOT
- vDOT unstaking period: 0~28 days (flexible)
- OpenGov: Yes
- Used bridges: XCM
- Ledger support: No (Ledger does not support parachains yet - expected Q3 2024)
- Reward fee: 5% (apply to rewards only)
- Unstake fee: 0.1% (apply to unstake amount)
There are 2 options to unstake DOT from vDOT:
- Full unstaking request (you retain full vDOT value)
- Lightning mode (you swap at market price, most of the time you won't get full value)
Unstake vDOT
Go to the Unstake tab to visualize the vDOT unstaking queue, click on “Total unstaking”. The unstaking queue will give you an raw estimation of unstaking period: the fewer in the queue, the quicker you unstaking request will proceed.
